We have the privilege of supporting many inspiring organisations that are making a real difference to people and communities across the North East.
From youth projects and mental health initiatives to community groups, sports clubs and charities tackling social challenges, we love seeing the impact our funding helps to create. That’s why we run our Monthly Poster Competition – a simple, fun way for organisations we support to showcase their work and be in with a chance of winning an extra £50 for their project.
How does it work?
Every project supported by the LGA Foundation receives one of our posters. All you need to do is include your poster in a photograph that highlights your project, activity, participants or the difference your organisation is making in the community.
Whether it’s young people celebrating an achievement, volunteers in action, a community event, a sports session or a creative group activity, we want to see the people and projects behind the work.
Don’t be afraid to get creative! Some of our favourite entries have featured imaginative poses, unusual locations and plenty of personality.
What’s the prize?
Each month, the Trustees select their favourite photograph and the winning organisation receives an additional £50 to support their project. More importantly, the competition helps us celebrate the incredible work happening across our network of funded organisations and gives projects the opportunity to share their stories with a wider audience.
A chance to inspire others
The competition isn’t just about winning. Every photograph submitted helps showcase the positive impact being created across our region.
We regularly feature entries and winners on our website and social media channels, helping to shine a spotlight on the organisations, volunteers and participants who are working hard to improve lives in their communities.
Ready to enter?
If your organisation has received support from the LGA Foundation, we’d love to see your photographs.
Simply take a photo featuring your LGA Foundation poster and submit it by the 1st of the month. Entries can be uploaded through our website or sent to enquiries@lga-foundation.org.
