The LGA Foundation & Smart Works Newcastle
The LGA Foundation and Smart Works Newcastle have been working together since 2021. Over the last two years, LGA Foundation’s grant has enabled Smart Works Newcastle to support 730 women so far, with the aim to be able to support a total of 1,000 women in the North East community. The grant has been used to provide clothing for the women to wear to their interviews and invaluable coaching to support the women through the interview process.

Dona was given the opportunity to try on a range of clothing before settling on the pictured outfit. Moreover, she was guided through the interview process by one of Smart Works Newcastle’s volunteer coaches. Dona said of her experience:
“My experience was amazing. Smart Works Newcastle boosted my confidence to a much higher level. I am very pleased and happy. I would recommend this to my other friends. You all are awesome!!!”
