The families and staff at Dolphin Street Nursery say a huge ‘THANK YOU’ to Lauren Reece
LGA Foundation has supported Footsteps Children’s Services Ltd for many years now and Lauren wanted to find a way to help as many of their families as possible this year. The run up to Christmas can be so worrying when families are already struggling to make ends meet.
For the months leading to the festive holiday, Lauren rallied her friends and family to drum up as much support and supplies as possible for the families at the Benwell nursery. Bags and boxes streamed into her home in preparation for the nursery’s end of year party.
The list of supplies included baby care products such as nappies, wipes, cream, toothpaste and toothbrushes, children’s clothes and blankets, toiletries and hygiene products for mums and dads, clothing and even shoes for parents too.
Everyone gave so generously that the nursery were overwhelmed when Lauren’s delivery arrived with family and friends driving cars and vans full to the brim of gifts and supplies.
The sensory room was chock-a-block! The staff spent time meticulously setting out supplies for families to come in and help themselves as well as gifting some lovely items donated as Christmas gifts for the families.
A huge thanks to Lauren for her unwavering efforts to get as much urgently needed supplies to those families!
