Exciting Steps Forward at Footsteps Nursery!

Things are moving along at Footsteps Nursery as they continue to make steady progress with their much-anticipated expansion. While it’s been a bit of a journey through pre-planning, the team is working closely with the council to get everything just right before the full planning application goes in.

Architectural sketches are already shaping up beautifully, and key players are now on board, including the architect, planning officer, and landscape designer. Initial site surveys, including topographical and tree protection work, are all ticked off.

Though the current plans focus on the structural side of the new build, exciting features like a sensory room, meeting spaces, and even a food bank are still firmly in the pipeline as part of the refurbishment of the existing site.

With lots of progress behind the scenes and plenty more to come, it’s an exciting time for the nursery and LGA are thrilled to see how well things are progressing —We’ll be sure to keep you posted as things unfold!

” We are so excited at the prospect of this new building that will really help us meet the needs of all the families we serve and enable us to expand our support to the wider community,  sometimes the planning process feels like forever, every step we take on the planning process is bringing us closer to being able to serve our community.”

Claire Taylor, CEO, Footsteps Nursery

Hub Architecture Ltd takes immense pride in collaborating with Footsteps Children’s Services on this project that benefits local families. The nursery extension promises to be a remarkable improvement, offering more space and superior facilities. We eagerly await the completion of the building and look forward to seeing how the children engage with the new areas.
